Syria 2008
The photographs were part of an exhibition shown during the Rundgang of the Bauhaus-University in 2008.
Despite the current political developments Syria is still a dictatorship with one of the biggest armies compared to its population. It runs around seven official and unofficial secret services and no political opposition is allowed. Life seems to be at a standstill. Like a tiger in a cage there is no forward or backward just a round and round in a circle.
